At Frampton and Babel, we are proud to work with suppliers, clients, and communities across the UK and internationally. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service while building trust across our network. Central to this is our dedication to respecting and upholding internationally recognised human rights and ethical labour practices.
Our approach is guided by key international standards including the International Bill of Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We are committed to avoiding complicity in human rights abuses and to supporting the rights and wellbeing of everyone we engage with, directly or indirectly.
Respect for Human Rights – we act promptly if any adverse human rights impacts arise from our activities or relationships and work to prevent such issues wherever possible through our internal and external escalation procedures.
No Child or Forced Labour – we prohibit child labour and forced, bonded, or involuntary labour. We support legitimate apprenticeships and fair working conditions for all. We carry out our own due diligence during our hiring processes to ensure that our employees are of legal age to carry out work.
Safe and Fair Workplaces – all colleagues work in environments that are safe, healthy, and free from abuse, discrimination, or harassment. Our disciplinary, grievance and whistleblowing procedures are transparent and accessible via our HR system.
Equal Opportunity – we promote equal pay for work of equal value and do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, or social background.
Transparent and Fair Employment – we provide clear contracts, pay fair wages, and ensure reasonable working hours in line with national laws and industry best practice.
Freedom of Association – we respect the right of colleagues to join trade unions and engage in collective bargaining.
We work closely with all parties to remedy any human rights violations and address root causes to prevent recurrence. Our HR department leads the implementation and annual review of our human rights policies, in line with Stronger2Gether initiatives.
We also follow the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) Base Code, adhering to its nine principles covering fair employment, non-discrimination, safe working conditions, and more.
We have a Whistleblowing Policy in place to empower colleagues and stakeholders to raise concerns safely and in confidence. Genuine concerns raised in the public interest are protected from retaliation. Whistleblowing can be carried out in a number of different ways, such as through confidential paper-based reporting, QR codes, email and text message to ensure it is accessible for all.
Frampton and Babel is committed to creating an ethical, inclusive, and responsible supply chain where human rights are protected, and dignity at work is fundamental.
